The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
