I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
