Major Moscow's Strikes Cut Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults overnight. A young boy died and three other people were hurt.

The strikes come after nights of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
